Voldemort says hola

It's been an interesting week. On Wednesday, around the time everyone left the office, a colleague of mine sent a message about the street next to our office, Passeig de Gràcia, being blocked. A few minutes later another colleague called my cell phone and told me to let everyone know that we should use the other exit, since the police has blocked Passeig de Grácia. I was creepy to look down from the 5th floor to the empty street. (For people who don't know the city, I work in the heart of BCN, and this street is one of the most important ones I'd say.) Apparently someone had left a suspicious bag in front of the Turkish embassy, and all the shops below us had been evacuated. Thank goodness it turned out to be a false alarm.

But it doesn't make me feel any safer to see police everywhere with machine guns. :( I see at least 6 of them every time I go have lunch.

I finally had my operation on Friday, the day before yesterday. I was really nervous, mostly because of the IV needle. As a blood donor I'm used to needles, but I just can't handle the idea of having one on the back of my hand. :S I had to be at the hospital at 10 in the morning, accompanied, so a friend of mine came with me. Then we had to wait for almost 2 hours before I was taken downstairs in a wheelchair, and I hadn't gotten anything to calm me down... the nurses who prepared my bed were ridiculously handsome men! I had never been told by 3 gorgeous guys to remove my gown and lie down... :D Then they put the IV needle (fricking hurt) and asked where I'm from, and then I fell asleep. Apparently the surgery took 2 hours.

I got to leave the hospital after 7pm, and they made my friend stay there the whole time! Now I've just been lying down and trying to sleep as much as possible. I can't eat or drink anything hot, and it's really difficult to eat anything because I can't breathe through my nose at the moment. Also, my nose starts to bleed whenever I move. Tomorrow I'll go back to the hospital, they'll remove a block they put up my nose after the surgery. Hopefully I'll be able to at least eat then...I'm so bored. I would like to read, but I can't hold the book up for long. It's taken me ages to write this entry, too... but I needed to sit up for a bit. Can't wait to be able to do normal things again!

Jag är här!

Greetings from Stockholm. I made it, barely. I almost missed the boat yesterday... and because of that I didn't even get to hug my mom goodbye. They literally closed the door behind me and left. My mom helped me with my stuff, and as I turned to hug my mom, the glass doors were already closed and she was running away from the walking bridge. I collapsed and cried next to my stuff, and some passenger came over to ask if everything was okay. The man who had closed the doors tried to calm me down, and he helped me into my cabin. I was a mess.

I hate packing
ice ice baby - the Baltic Sea
Viking Amorella. It ran aground the last time I was on it, in December.

After that I went outside and called my mom, and then I went into my cabin. I watched Eurovision Song Contest from 2012 with my laptop and fell asleep. I slept for 6 hours. Then I had some sandwiches my mom had made for me, and bought a new Fazer chocolate from the duty free shop.

in the cabin. that's my new suitcase!
all the eurovision times
exhausted
the new chocolate flavor, so gooooood!
Samuel was waiting for me at the harbor, and we took a bus and a metro to his place. It was the first time I was on a bus in Stockholm, so exciting! I slept really well, probably because I was exhausted both physically and mentally. Now it's noon, he's at work, and I'm just shuffling about, chatting on livestream, thinking about repacking my stuff, and watching Gossip Girl. I've never watched this show, but it's surprisingly interesting.

Man, I love Stockholm. It's so easy (and cheap) to visit from Finland, it's cheaper to come here than to go to Helsinki from Turku. I'm gonna go downtown later today and take some photos. :)

Last night in Finland

9:46pm
FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU. I spent all morning and afternoon running around in different offices, telling them that I wouldn't be a full-time business owner anymore. My mom found a pretty suitcase on sale, and I happened to have enough money for that. It was now 39€ instead of 109€, and it has a 2-year warranty.

I just carried a big, heavy box into the storage room downstairs. It's full of books, and I almost died because of its weight... well, I've been a slacker myself, should start working out. The show Vikings is on in 10 minutes, I think I'm gonna take some crap with me in front of the TV and sort it out while dreaming about Athelstan.

11:14pm
My little brother Kauri came to say goodbye. I will miss them all soooo much. :(

Also, Athelstan. Mm mm mm. I just boiled some eggs. So much crap, so little space. Muiluttaa muiluttaa.

midnight
I hit my foot pretty badly. Could I just go to bed and wake up again into this day or something?

0:41am
Taking all my files from this PC into my external hard drive. Gives me an excuse not to pack.

1:19am
Some people showed up on RaidCall. "you can work that booty now and later be all aw yiss"

2:00am
I keep finding interesting things, like sheets of music in Russian.

2:31am
The bedroom is now empty of my stuff. I'm hungry.

3:14am
Made some food and cleaned the kitchen. It's almost done. I'm feeling optimistic. I'm gonna eat and watch the first episode of Gossip Girl. My foot hurts like hell.

4:22am
I've taken a ton of trash out. I guess that's a good thing... right? My foot is a bit swollen.

4:59am
I opened a can of Moomin soda. Where the hell am I gonna put all this crap? 3 hours to go. I'm so fricking tired.

6:08am
I'm exhausted and my foot hurts. Throwing even more stuff away.

7:10am
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH. I'm gonna turn off the computer. I shall succeed.

wow, much nervous, so panic

Next week. I'm moving next week. Holy crap.

But I found a room! It's in Eixample Izquierdo, and I'll work near Plaça de Catalunya. According to Google Maps I can walk to work in 20 minutes. Me gusta. The room is quite small, but it looks really nice and cozy in the pictures.

I'm selling some of my stuff. I love this flea market; I don't have to be there myself, and I can see online if someone buys something. I took my stuff there on Saturday, and I'll go get the remaining crap on Friday.

Do you know the feeling when you're nervous or excited about something, and you have these tingles in your stomach? Yeah, that feeling. It's really annoying to have 24/7.
